Welcome to my blog!

I've been in Cub Scout Pack 505 of Mt. Pleasant, SC for 5 years now and experienced many great activities and programming from many talented den leaders.  I've realized that meeting the requirements of Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos ranks is not always as easy as it first appears. The den leader is under pressure to deliver a program for 8+ scouts to progress through the current program to the next rank. This is especially true if the leader does not have an outdoors or scouting background.

So that this the goal of this blog - to provide some good ideas and tools to deliver a quality program in the Low Country of South Carolina. I've had the pleasure of having my sons involved in 3 Webelos dens and observed many great ways of meeting the advanced Webelos requirements.  In this blog I will document some great successes, maybe a few good ideas, and some great suggestions from guest bloggers. So, stay tuned and keep checking back.  I'll do my best to lead your den and scouts through Webelos and into Boy Scouts... just as my sons are progressing!

The blog will also grow into a guide for convenient camping spots for cub and boy scouts, with a review of pros-cons.  Ultimately the blog will cover outdoor experiences for boy scouts.

I hope you find the content useful and it helps you grow your scouts.  Keep coming back.
